It Lives

So in case I didn't blab to the world completely that my little baby of a magazine was launched last night..IT WAS!!! and ohhhh how worth it...worth all the 90+ hrs a week of editing shit and formatting and having folder lost and weather screw with shoots...all worth it though :)

Like I said before, since it is published I can post all of the epic and beauteous shots on the blog for the next week :) MWAHAHAHAHA. And it might give a bit of insight about the general approach, aesthetic, creative direction, and inspiration for each editorial :)

This one was me...if you didn't know...sporting a hand made chain mail crown of doom veil. I felt it would only be suited for the first issue...LIKE BAMMMM I MEAN BUSINESS. All of the jewelry for this and studding and spiking were done by me and my handy dandy spike hole punch gun of doom. It's an essential for any savvy metal loving lady.

I tried to get a balance of light to dark photos..but more with dark...obviously....I fucking love the dark :) The key to getting a good dark shot to work well is to make sure there are definitive highlight areas...and I'm a highlight crazy lady...I zero in on that shit and amplify it to the max...and this is where I could just blab about lighting until the cows come home...so I will leave you with the link to the mag...READ IT!!
